NEWS RELEASE
KANSAS CITY, Mo - - A group of Avila University students from professor Ben Meade's Fundamentals of Communications course recently spent a service learning project volunteering at ReStore, part of Habitat for Humanity, which helps builds houses for needy families. ReStore is a 30,000-square-foot building full of new and used building and construction materials, including anything from nails and paint to cabinets and appliances, which the organization sells at affordable prices. During their service project, the Avila students did everything from cleaning to helping stack, move and package materials.
