KANSAS CITY, Mo - - On July 15, coaches and players on the Avila University football team visited an area near downtown Kansas City, Mo. and put on a free football camp for the KC Urban Youth Center. About 75 kids attended the camp, which was organized by Will Certain, a youth minister and coordinator of the KC Urban Youth Center. In the photo to the left, Avila head coach Justin Berna instructs youths in how to correctly grip a football. In the photo to the right, Sam Smith, defensive assistant coach instructs a youngster in fundamentals of tackling. The Eagles contingent is scheduled to return to the center Aug. 5 for another free camp.
