The application process to the nursing program:

  1. Arrange for a campus visit through the Admission Office (816)501-2400. You may want to:
        a.  Visit with faculty in an academic division.
        b.  Tour the campus.
        c.  Meet with financial aid.
        d.  Visit with the athletics department.
        e.  Visit with the English as a Second Language department if you are an
             international student.

  2. Apply to Avila University
If you are a high school student you will need to send your high school transcript and ACT scores.

If you are a transfer student, you will need to send official transcripts from all colleges and universities where you have taken coursework. Your coursework will be evaluated for transfer and you will receive a copy of that information. This is the official  transcript evaluation. If you have reviewed unofficial transcripts with an advisor, you will want to make a  comparison and revise your plans.

  3. Make an appointment after admission to see an advisor to develop a curriculum plan. (First-year students and transfer students completing core and prerequisite courses.)

  4. Enroll in selected classes at times indicated in the course schedule.

  5. Apply to the nursing program by January 15th of the year you will be ready to begin nursing courses.  Applications are available on-line after December 1st.
