The application process to the nursing program:
- Arrange for a campus visit through the Admission
Office (816)501-2400. You may want to:
a. Visit with faculty in an academic
division.
b. Tour the campus.
c. Meet with financial aid.
d. Visit with the athletics department.
e. Visit with the English as a Second
Language department if you are an
international
student.
- Apply to Avila University
If you are a high school student you
will need to send your high school transcript and ACT scores.
If you are a transfer student, you will need
to send official transcripts from all colleges and universities
where you have taken coursework. Your coursework will be evaluated
for transfer and you will receive a copy of that information.
This is the official transcript evaluation. If you
have reviewed unofficial transcripts with an advisor, you will
want to make a comparison and revise your plans.
- Make an appointment after admission to see
an advisor to develop a curriculum plan. (First-year students
and transfer students completing core and prerequisite courses.)
- Enroll in selected classes at times indicated
in the course schedule.
- Apply to the nursing program by January 15th
of the year you will be ready to begin nursing courses.
Applications are available on-line after December 1st.
Acceptance
to the Nursing Program
Written notification of acceptance of admission to the
nursing program from the School of Nursing will be provided.
