At Avila Montessori School we offer programs for children 3-6 years old. Children are not grouped by age, but work side by side with other children both older and younger than themselves. The ratio in each classroom is ten children to each staff member (10:1). We currently employ two certified Montessori teachers and two teacher aides. Our program is certified through the Montessori Institute of America.
We are not a year round daycare, but a school in the academic tradition. We closely follow the academic calendar for Avila University for both the fall and spring semesters. Tuition is based on the academic year, and payments are broken down into monthly installments for convenience. The registration deposit is equal to one month's payment for the program option chosen and is non-refundable. This will count as one of nine payments for the school year.
At Avila Montessori School, we offer three program options, including five day (M-F), three day (M-W-F), and two day (T-Th), in addition to full day (9am-3pm) and half day (9am-11: 30am). Extended care is available at an hourly rate from 7:30am-9am and 3pm-5:30pm. Extended care is supervised play staffed by student assistants.
Students attending full day programs must bring their own lunch. A microwave is available for heating food items. All students must be potty trained and able to manage their bathroom needs independently.
Avila Montessori School offers a 10% discount to Avila University student/parents, and a 10% sibling discount. An annual activity fee also applies.
