Dr. Larson is an educator and clinician with over 20 years of experience promoting health and performance. He earned his doctorate degree in exercise physiology from the University of Kansas (2001) and holds several specialty certifications in the area of sport and exercise science. Dr. Larson’s innovative R.A.I.R. Sports Therapy™ programming integrates soft-tissue release, advanced whole body vibration training (PowerPlate™), and progressive exercise to produce pain free motion, fitness for health, and enhanced sport performance. This client/patient centered approach serves as a point of reference for student instruction and generating research ideas. Dr. Larson has been a faculty member at Avila since the fall semester 2008. He teaches several of the Kinesiology courses including: Kinesiology, Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology, Exercise Testing & Prescription, and Sport Psychology.
