Avila has many different degrees and programs. If you have the necessary prerequisites, you can directly enter a degree program. If you need to study English (ESL) before working on your degree, you can choose your major and put this choice on your application. Remember that students in the ESL program can also take one or two non-English classes.
When you study in the U.S., it is important to have good speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in English. Therefore, even if you have a high TOEFL score, you may want to consider enrolling in Avila's ILCP your first semester. In this way, you can strengthen your English as you adjust to your new life in the U.S. In addition, students in Avila's ILCP are able to take up to 7 credits (usually 2 classes) of regular classes, so you can study English and earn credits toward your degree at the same time!
