We greatly appreciate your consideration of making a gift to the Avila University Library. Your support has a tremendous impact on the collegiate experience of our students and paves the way for a stronger Avila.
There are two ways in which you are able to support the library. You may donate books or periodicals or you can give a donation online or by phone.
Donate books, periodicals, & audio-visual materials
Donated items are checked against the library's holdings and evaluated for inclusion in the library's collection. Books that are not added to the collection are sold in the library's book sale. The proceeds from this sale benefit the library through purchases of new books and materials. Please contact Kathleen Finegan before making a donation to determine the suitability of possible donations. |
How do I make a gift in honor or memory
of friends and family members?
The library provides a unique opportunity to pay lasting tribute to friends and family by having their name inscribed on a bookplate inside the book cover. Gifts may be made to the Hooley-Bundschu Library by contacting Kathleen Finegan to request an honorary/memorial gift form. This form will allow you to provide detailed instructions about the name(s) of the individual(s) who should receive notification of the gift, and the name(s) of those making the gift.
How do I donate material to the
Women Religious Special collection?
The Women Religious Special Collection, begun in the fall of 1997, is unique as the first university library collection to focus entirely on the experience of Catholic sisters and nuns. The WRSC welcomes gifts of manuscript materials, monographs, and rare books. Material in any format are accepted including photographs, films, CD's , video and audio tapes, journals, diaries, scrapbooks, and typescript items. To donate to the WRSC, contact Kathleen Finegan, Library Director, at 816-501-3711.
