REQUESTING AVILA BOOKS

Students, faculty, and staff may also request books directly from the book collections of the Avila library. If a book is successfully requested from the Avila library, it will quickly be "pulled", processed, and made available for "pickup" at the circulation desk of the Avila library.

Students, faculty, and staff are also encouraged to come to the library and search for books by using the online catalog, finding the call-number of a book, and then browsing the "stacks" for the book. More

REQUESTING KANSAS CITY BOOKS

In addition to the collection of books in the Avila library, students, faculty, and staff may request books directly from the Kansas City cluster of academic libraries. Any book requested from the Kansas City cluster will arrive in three business days. More

REQUESTING MOBIUS BOOKS

Students, faculty, and staff may request books directly from the MOBIUS Consortium of academic libraries. MOBIUS provides access to books from academic libraries, and some public libraries, located in the state of Missouri. Any book requested from MOBIUS will also arrive in three days. More

REQUESTING ILL BOOKS

If a book is NOT available in the Avila, Kansas City, or MOBIUS libraries, the book may be requested as an "Inter-Library Loan (ILL). Via ILL, Avila students, faculty, and staff can request books that are "owned" by another library "in another state." Any book successfully requested from an ILL library will usually arrive in one to two weeks. More
