Avila has a long tradition of successfully placing beginning teachers. Avila's reputation for quality in teacher
preparation opens many doors for students. The program is highly regarded by area principals and personnel
directors. To assist our students, practice interviews with area professionals are conducted during student
teaching. In addition, Avila provides workshops in resume writing and job search strategies. Students can
choose to keep a credential file on campus for submission to prospective employers. Our program also
meets certification requirements in both Missouri and Kansas.
