2 Avila Education Association (AEA)
Avila Education Association is open to all education students as well as those interested in the field of education. The purpose is to provide opportunities for professional growth, professional and social networking, and community service.

Membership Requirements

  • Members must pay AEA annual dues of $15.00.
  • Members must be Avila education students or Avila students interested in the field of education.

Kappa Delta Pi (KDPi)
Kappa Delta Pi is an international Honor Society in Education. It is open to all elementary, middle, secondary, special education, and education graduate students, who meet the requirements listed below. 1

Kappa Delta Pi membership is designed to help active members grow professionally. Access to exemplary programs, publications, and educators top the list of services. In addition to the teaching and research tools, members also have the opportunity to receive scholarships and awards. Membership provides an opportunity to enhance leadership experiences, collaborate with members and professionals in the educational field, fellowship with others, and network with local and national educators.

Membership Requirements- Undergraduate:

  • 3.0 GPA in all Avila coursework
  • at least twelve (12) hours of education coursework programmed, in progress or completed
  • be a declared education major with Avila Univeristy
  • completed at least thirty (30) credit hours in your degree or certificate
  • transfer students with at least sophomore standing need to establish a GPA with Avila
  • member of Avila Education Association (AEA)

Membership Requirements- Graduate:

  • 3.25 GPA in all Avila coursework
  • accepted into the graduate program and pursuing coursework in education
  • six (6) semester hours, programmed, in progress, or completed (all must be completed at Avila)
  • must have a total of twelve (12) education hours, programmed, in progress, or completed
  • member of Avila Education Association (AEA)
Membership Dues $50.00
