The Anatomy and Physiology Lab
Our recent $4.5 Million campaign has already allowed us to make needed improvements in our health care and science facilities. Next in line for needed upgrades is our primary Anatomy and Physiology Lab in O'Rielly.
Kansas City's growing need for healthcare professionals has created a major increase in Avila students preparing for degrees in science, nursing and allied health. With over 75% of Avila's students staying to work in the Kansas City metro, Avila is preparing our future healthcare workers today! Avila's renovation plan allows for a more complete learning environment and has already significantly increased the capacity of the biology labs, and provided realistic human simulator equipment for nursing education. Our renovated Anatomy and Physiology lab will offer an increased capacity and state of the art instructional technology. With student enrollment in biology courses having grown 123% and nursing program students doubling admission since 2004, Avila will significantly increase the number of healthcare professionals who are trained annually. Renovating the science labs is truly an investment in community health.
