Dear Avila Supporters,
Transformational. It’s a word that carries a lot of meaning at Avila University. In fact, it strikes at the very heart of Avila’s mission. Since its founding by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, our mission is to make a difference in the lives of students from around the corner and around the world.
In the past few years, through the generosity of donors like you, Avila has transformed our small campus tucked away in south Kansas City into an impressive civic jewel in which the entire metropolitan area can take great pride. Our students come ready to learn and embrace learning to its fullest. It’s our job to turn their desire into the experiences that transform.
As you read this website, you’ll see students, faculty, alumni and supporters who are experiencing transformations. This is all possible because of your generosity.
With our great progress, one thing remains the same – the open, friendly and engaging Avila environment that we call home. These are exciting times at Avila. We have achieved much, but our vision is to the future. With your ongoing support, we will continue opening doors, in education and in life, for the next generation of Avila University graduates.
With Sincere Thanks,
Chair, Board of Trustees
Ron Slepitza, Ph.D., CSJA
