Avila must prepare students to be a part of new our global society. The Global Community Initiative helps students develop high levels of intercultural knowledge and skills. At Avila, students grow to understand global issues and are encouraged to think about how to make an impact on a global scale. It is important that our graduates have a competitive advantage in this global economy, and are able to make lifelong contributions to our world. This initiative will infuse a global perspective in Avila’s curriculum and provide critical multicultural study experiences to students.

"I drew upon every skill and every bit of knowledge I learned at Avila to raise money to build a library for poor children in Vietnam. In all, I raised money from 18 states and three countries to make it possible for the children and families of Nam Dong, Vietnam."
