The Writing Center is a place where you can sit down with an experienced Writing Center mentor who will provide assistance with your writing.

Welcome to Avila’s student-based Writing Center. We are available to help you with all your writing needs, from brainstorming to organization to final polish. Conveniently located in the Hooley Bundschu Library, the Writing Center offers walk-in assistance as well as convenient appointments. There is no limit on how many times you can visit us, so come see what we can do for you!

Mission Statement
The Avila University Writing Center is dedicated to assisting students at all levels to become more effective writers, supporting the University's commitment to academic excellence, and fostering productive dialogue between students and their instructors. In conjunction with the Department of English, the Writing Center mentors and trains a corps of student writing assistants who work directly with students.
