Whether it’s you need résumé
assistance, information on internships, job fairs, or help
on deciding a major, Career Services is here for you.

Career Services can help you create a four-year plan that
will serve as a good road map to your future career.
But for now…
- Take the on-line “Do What You Are” career assessment to learn more about yourself and your future options;
- Share your interests and dreams with you academic advisor and other faculty and staff;
- Join organizations on campus relates to your area(s) of interest. Become active; take on responsibilities and build your skills;
- Create a draft of your résumé in your first semester and update it at least annually; include in your co-curricular transcript, PRAISE, along with documentation of activities and organizations to which you belong;
- Participate in job shadowing and information gathering interviews with Avila alumni and other local professionals;
- Register to use our on-line internship and job posting system, College Central Network (CCN) to learn of part-time and full-time jobs posted for Avila students;
- Become a student member of a professional association related to your career(s) of interest;
- Learn more about yourself and build your skills through volunteer experience, paid work, and internships;
- Apply for membership in Avila’s chapter of the National Society for Leadership and Success;
- Work with your advisor and Career Services staff to develop
a career plan, but always have a “Plan B”
