Rebecca Younker

I'm Rebecca Younker and I'm a junior from a small town in southwest Missouri         called Pierce City. I'm a history major and a philosophy minor. My favorite thing about the community pillar is seeing an event come together with everybody participating and  having fun. Fun fact: I was once chased down the road by a skunk!

My name is Timothy Aderman and I am a senior from Colorado Springs, Colorado majoring in Political Science/Pre-Law. My favorite thing about my community pillar group is engaging the student body of Avila. A fun fact about me is that I own a shih tzu named Ray.


Alaina Cissell

My name is Alaina Cissell. I am a freshman from St. Charles, Missouri. I am majoring in Special Education. My favorite thing about being in the community pillar is being able to plan the community events such as the cook out in the quad! I love being a part of the Avila family! 



Amelia Ernstmann
I am Amelia Ernstmann. I am a sophomore at Avila University studying pre-occupational therapy.  I am originally from Raytown, MO.  I was drawn to the Community pillar of Avila's Campus Ministry team because I really enjoyed the events they sponsored on campus and the warm welcome I received when I joined.  A not-so-fun fun fact about me is that I cannot whistle.


Corina Guzman
My name is Corina Guzman and I am a freshman. I am majoring in Biology and Pre-Med and minoring in Chemistry. My favorite thing about the community pillar is that we get to do the fun things on campus and we share them with the community. I was born in El Salvador and raised in Kansas City.


Kelsie Johnson

My name is Kelsie Johnson and I am a senior this year. I am from Pleasant Hill Missouri and I have come to Avila University to study theatre in hopes of being a theatre teacher someday. I am involved in the community pillar group this year. A fun fact about me is that I play guitar and I am double jointed.



Haleigh Johnston
My name is Haleigh Johnston and I am from Lee's Summit, Missouri. I am a sophomore majoring in Nursing. My favorite thing about being a part of the Community Pillar is getting to plan fun events for the community and to be involved in having a good time. A fun fact about me is that I like to make people laugh.


Allison Jones
Hello! My name is Allison Jones and I am from Omaha, Nebraska. I am a sophomore majoring in Nursing and minoring in Psychology. My favorite thing about the community pillar is being able to plan and put on fun events for the students and staff of Avila. Plus I get to hang out with some awesome people too. A fun fact about me is that I do not like cake (or brownies, doughnuts, cupcakes, and muffins) but LOVE ice cream and cookies!



Teresa Kuppinger
Reigning from St. Louis City, MO, my name is Teresa Kuppinger, commonly known as TKupp. I'm a senior studying Theatre in Acting and Directing/ Producing. Helping to write and plan the Student-Led retreat has become my favorite part of the Prayer Pillar. You should also know that I have an incredible knack for re-writing song lyrics.


Jozzi Rainey
My name is Jozzi Rainey and I am a freshman from Kansas City, Kansas. Majoring in Graphic Design, my favorite thing about community pillar is planning all the fun events on campus. A fun fact about me I was born with twelve fingers.


Karla Scheerer
My name is Karla Scheerer and I am from St. Louis, Missouri.  I am a freshman majoring in nursing.  My favorite thing about the Community Pillar is that we get to hold events for the school, like floats by the fountain.  A fun fact about me is that I finally learned how to water ski.

My name is Tyler Seabaugh and I'm a Senior from Jefferson City, MO majoring in PreMed. My favorite thing about being a part of the Community Pillar is helping to plan events that the entire campus can come enjoy.

My name is Matthew St John and I'm a Senior from Excelsior Springs Missouri majoring in Kinesiology. A fun fact about me is I'm a twin! My favorite thing about the community pillar group is the event Cocoa and Carols, I am Santa.

Katie Fasl
My name is Katie Fasl and I am a junior. I just recently moved to St. Louis, Missouri in June 2012. I am majoring in Elementary Education. I am a co-leader on the Prayer Pillar and my favorite thing about the Prayer Pillar is getting to help plan the Masses on campus and participate in them. A fun fact about me is that I love the St. Louis Cardinals and I am a huge fan of their catcher, Yadier Molina.

Allie Stamer
My name is Allie Stamer and I am a junior from St. Louis, Missouri. I am a Pre-Med major. My favorite thing about the Prayer Team is being able to help plan masses and having a part in the mass. A fun fact about me is I regularly twitch and don’t know why.

Joe Allen
My name is Joe Allen and I am a sophomore from St. Louis, Missouri majoring in Religious Studies. My favorite thing about Prayer Pillar is getting to lead the Student-Lead Retreat in January. Outside of Campus Ministry, I am a student mentor and I play on Avila's soccer team.


Aaron Arnzen
Hi, my name is Aaron Arnzen and I’m from Cape Girardeau Missouri. I’m a freshman here at Avila and am part of the Men’s Soccer program. As of now, I don’t have a declared major. Taking part in campus ministry has opened many new doors for me. As a member of the “Prayer Pillar”, I have become involved in so many activities; my favorite would be Potluck and Prayer every Monday evening. Being able to spend a little time with God at the end of a busy day while enjoying homemade meals is quite a treat! A fun fact about me is that I love to write.

Haley Baer
Hi, my name is Haley Baer, and I am from St. Louis. I am a freshman. My major is Nursing, and I am minoring in Psychology. I am in the Prayer Pillar, and my favorite part is the prayer partners program. A fun fact about me is that I have a twin sister named Morgan.


Jasmine Colhour
My name is Jasmine Colhour and I am a freshman at Avila. I was born and raised inKansas City, Missouri. I am wanting to major in accounting. The thing I love the most about my pillar is planning the masses and decorating the chapel is always fun. And a fun fact about myself is that I have attended Catholic school my entire life and I love it!



Melissa Ingram
My name is Melissa Ingram, I'm a freshman from Lenexa, Kansas, and I'm a pre-med biology major with a minor in chemistry. My favorite thing about being in the Prayer Pillar is being able to pray as a group for those in our community and a fun fact about myself would be that I know sign language.


Rebekah Juarez
My name is Rebekah Juarez, I am a first year student from Louisburg, Kansas. I am majoring in Music Education; I want to teach choir. My favorite thing about Prayer Pillar is that everyone in our group is very friendly and ready to help with anything at the drop of a hat. A fun fact about me is that I have a tea-cup yorkshire terrior named Bella; she weighs less than five lbs.


Laurel Lujano
My name is Laurel Lujano and I am a freshman from Wichita, Kansas.  I am majoring in Pre-Health Professions. My favorite thing about the Prayer pillar is that we can all prayer helps every single person and it doesn't have to be scripted. It can be from the heart and still make a huge difference in someone's life. Fun fact: I can solve a Rubik's cube!

My name is Elise Pates, and I'm a freshman from Wichita, KS. I am majoring in Musical Theatre. I enjoy working on the Prayer Pillar because it allows me to help other students strive in their faith. A fun fact about me is that I have been playing the piano for 10 years.

PILLAR LEADERS:

Brittany Rose
My name is Brittany Rose and I am a Senior Nursing Student from Blue Springs, Missouri. My favorite thing about the Service Pillar is that even the smallest act of service goes a long ways. A fun fact about me is that I never learned how to ride a bike (not that my mom didn't try...it was just hopeless!).

 

Rachael Beard
Hey there! My name is Rachael Beard and I am a junior nursing student with a psychology minor. I am from Springfield MO. I am the co-leader for the service team and I love how we work with so many different people, from those at the Kansas City Hospice House to those at Hope Faith Ministries. A fun fact about me is that I have moved 23 times and no neither one of my parents are in the military.

Dayton Antley
My name is Dayton Antley and I am a freshman at Avila this year. I am from Drexel, MO which is a really small town! My plan is to major in Biology with a concentrate in Environmental Science. I am on the Service Pillar and my favorite thing about it is that I get to go out into the Kansas City community and meet people from all different backgrounds, and we get to help people in many ways. A fun fact about myself is that my family takes care of baby deer.


Hannah Baum
I am Hannah Baum, a freshman pre-health major at Avila University. I am from the Kansas City area, so I do not live on-campus (fun fact!). My pillar is service and the best thing about service is the amount of volunteer opportunities you have. There are so many problems in our community that need attention, so you never run out of project ideas.



Kayla Grieshaber
My name is Kayla Grieshaber and I am a freshman from St. Joseph, MO with a major in nursing. I love picking and planning events in the Service Pillar, like Ronald McDonald House! I love hands on work we do in the community. A fun fact about me is that I’ve got sick dance moves!


Ashley Hoff
My name is Ashley Hoff. I am a freshman from Blue Springs, Missouri, majoring in Nursing. My favorite thing about the Service Pillar is being able to serve the community and see lives be changed. A fun fact about me is I'm obsessed with turtles!



Joan Kessler
My name is Katelyn Joan Kessler and I am a sophomore from Lawson, MO with a major in nursing. My favorite thing about Service Pillar is how we all work together as a team. A fun fact about me is that I can make cupcakes that look like ducks.


Grace Miller
My name is Grace Miller and I am a freshman from Blue Springs, Missouri majoring in Nursing with a minor in Pre-Law. I love being on the Service Pillar especially because we volunteer to cook meals for the Ronald McDonald House in Kansas City every month. A fun fact about me is that I refuse to eat blue flavored candy because I am terrified that I will get a blue mouth forever.....yeah...


Rebecca Molner
My name is Rebecca Molner and I am a sophomore from St. Louis, Missouri and am majoring in Psychology. My favorite thing about Service Pillar is getting to plan fun events like Trick-or-Treat for Canned Goods to reach out to the community. A fun fact about me is that I never match my socks.


Patrick Moore

My name is Patrick Moore and I am a freshman from Carbondale, KS majoring in acting. My favorite thing about Service Pillar is getting to participate in God’s work and do great things to reach out to the community. A fun fact about me is that I’m on the football team here at Avila.

Elizabeth Olinger
Hello :) My name is Elizabeth Olinger and I am a freshman from Festus, Missouri majoring in Marketing! My favorite thing about Service Pillar is getting to go/ plan events, like Bingo, cooking and serving at the Hospice House and of course helping those in need. A fun fact about me is that I rode a camel in Africa this summer.


Raquel Roman

My name is Raquel Román and I am a junior Vocal Performance major with a minor in Graphic Design. I am originally from Liberty, Missouri. My favorite thing about Service Pillar is the positive energy that surrounds everything we do. I help plan the liturgy for our Sunday Mass at Avila. I hope to one day be an Opera singer.


Melissa Seabaugh
My name is Melissa Seabaugh. I am a sophomore from St. Louis, Missouri. I am double majoring in Psychology and Criminal Justice and minoring in Theater. My favorite thing about the Service Pillar is giving back to the community with service projects. A fun fact about me is that my favorite holiday is Halloween.


Alexandra Woods
My name is Alexandra Woods, and I am a freshman. I come from the land far away named Ohio! I will be studying Education. I really enjoy doing all kinds of service. My motto in life is, "Change a life, one heart at a time." Do you want to know anything else about me? Well, here is a fun fact, I am an esteemed Black Belt in Taekwondo, so if you ever feel in danger I am here to save the day!
