Defensive Line Coach
Coach Vickroy enters his first season with the Eagles football program, and will be responsible for the defensive line. Brad joins the coaching staff at Avila University after spending the last two seasons coaching at the University of Mary (Bismarck, North Dakota). Vickroy joined the Marauders coaching staff in 2011 and worked with the defensive linemen and worked with the running backs in 2012. Prior to the University of Mary, Brad coached at his alma mater, the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point for two years. While with the Pointers he coached the offensive line and tight ends one season and the defensive line the second. After a successful collegiate career, Vickroy played professionally overseas while he also coached the defensive line and closed out the 2009 season as the defensive coordinator for the Marburg (Germany) Mercenaries.
The conference player of the year as a senior, Vickroy started 31 straight games at nose tackle for UW-Stevens Point and earned all-conference, all-region and all-American honors. He earned a bachelor’s degree in American Studies and a minor in coaching in 2010. Vickroy graduated from the University of Mary in December 2012 with an MBA in Management.
