City , MO- Avila took on Central Methodist
at home on Saturday. This game was an important game for the Eagles.
They were halfway through their conference games and needed a win
going into the last half of their season. They came out strong and
in the 9 th minute of the game, Rachelle Luster buried a shot into
the back of the net with a great assist from Danielle Price. The
Eagles fought hard to maintain their lead.
The game was very close and
Avila only out shot Central Methodist 15-13. Renee Rudder had 5
saves on the game and the Eagles managed to hold onto the game with
a 1-0 win.
Coach Clements stated that,
“We needed this game. The girls knew how important a win was tonight
and they met the expectations.”
They now look for a win against
MidAmerica Nazarene University . The game will be played Tuesday
at MNU in Olathe, KS at 3pm.
