North Newton, KS- The Eagles extended their winning streak to 3 games on Tuesday against Bethel College. The teams were tied at half with one goal a piece but Avila came out strong in the second half and won by a score of 6-2. Synthia Padfield had the lone goal of the first half from a great through ball by Rachelle Luster. The second half was a scoring frenzy with two goals from Luster, and one a piece from Mollie Brown, Haley Couture, and Colleen Reagan.

Coach Clements gave a stern half-time talk and the girls came out in the second half with a point to prove. Clements was pleased with their second half performance stating, "I knew they were capable of playing that way. We just need two consecutive halves with that intensity. They knocked the ball around well and were more of an offensive threat."

The girls will look to get their fourth win in a row on Saturday against Missouri Valley College. This will be the first conference game and a good test to see where they are at. The match is set to start at 1pm at Avila University.
