Coach Madlock is in her first year at the helm of the Avila Volleyball program. She has over 15 years of coaching experience at the club, high school and collegiate levels. Most recently, Madlock served as the head coach at Blue Valley Northwest High School , where she led the Huskies to the Kansas 6A state championship in 2000.

Her passion for the sport developed during her collegiate playing experience at Illinois State University , where she launched her coaching career. A two year stint as an assistant coach at her alma mater was followed by positions at the University of Iowa and the University of Kansas . Madlock has also coached USAV club teams since 1991 and is currently the director of the KC Starlings VBC in Kansas City , KS .

A native of Chicago , Madlock currently resides in Bonner Springs , KS where she works for the University of Kansas Educational Talent Search Program , promoting post-secondary education to the youth of Wyandotte County , while completing her masters degree in exercise science.
