Earn 2 HAAC All-Conference Awards
The Avila
University Women's Soccer program was honored with 2 HAAC All-Conference
awards for the play of Colleen Reagan and Maddie Covalt. Colleen
Reagan, Junior Communications major from St. Louis, MO, earned 1
st team All-Conference award. Reagan, a Defender, played well all
season for the Eagles with her tough physical defense assisting
with keeping the Goals Allowed Average to just over 1.5 goals a
game. Colleen also had 1 goal and 2 assist on the year.
Earning
3 rd Team HAAC All-Conference honors for the Eagles is Goalkeeper
Maddie Covalt. Covalt is a Senior English major from Lincoln, NE.
She started in goal for all 16 games and only allowed 19 goals on
the season, for a 1.160 Goals Allowed Average.
The Men's
Soccer program earned 2 HAAC All-Conference 3 Team awards. Jason
Jacob, a Junior Theater/Communications major from Kansas City Missouri,
and Roberto Camacho, Junior from Kansas City Missouri, were both
honored by the Heart of America Athletic Conference.
Jacob,
a midfielder, led the Eagles with 58 shots with 37 of them being
on goal. Jason tied for the team lead in goals with 4 and added
1 assist, while his counter-part, Camacho, added 27 shots with 18
on goal. Camacho added 2 goals and 1 assist to the team's totals.
