How many credit hours are required to complete the program?
The program consists of a 1-credit hour introduction class, 21 hours of core requirements, 12 hours of coursework in your area of concentration (i.e., Business, Organizational Behavior, or Project Management), and a 3-credit-hour Masters Research Project, for a total of 37 hours.

I work full time, so how will classes fit into my schedule?

Our program is structured for people just like you. Classes typically meet one evening per week.

How long will it take me to complete the program?
The program can be completed in as few as two years; however, you can move through the program at your own pace.

What if my undergraduate degree is not in business or psychology?

We take any bachelor's degree from an accredited university.

Do I have to take the Graduate Record Examination?

While our program has a high standard of excellence in teaching and learning, you are not required to take the GRE.

What about my undergraduate GPA?

We would prefer you to have an undergraduate grade point average of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale in the last 60 hours of your undergraduate coursework.

When can I start? Is there a deadline for applications?
You can start in the fall, spring, or summer semester.There are no deadlines for applications.When your application is complete, it will be reviewed and you will be notified as soon as possible. Once you are admitted formally, you can register for classes until the day before classes begin.

Do I have to wait until I have completed all of the application requirements to take classes in the program?
Avila allows students to take up to 9 credit hours in a non-degree seeking "enrichment" status. It is important to remember that taking courses before your application is complete does not guarantee admission into the program; however, once you are accepted, graduate credit hours will apply toward your degree.
