I
found myself this week pondering what to do with all of my
free time. I quickly found myself occupied as I continued
my practice with my clay flowers. The best part of being here
at Avila is that the student body gets so close to each other,
there is always someone who can help you out in nearly any
situation. Since I am not a very creative minded individual,
I headed right to Bailey's room to get her artistic thoughts
on the color configuration for my flower. With February 14
right around the corner, I will be honing my skills to the
best of my ability to create some awesome Valentine's Day
gifts for some of my most deserving lady friends.
As usual, I also
spent a fair amount of time hanging out with the guys., which
has its advantages and disadvantages. To put it mildly, one
of the guys has the most potent gas that I have ever encountered.
At times it gets so bad that everyone has to duck and cover
for fear of being gassed to death. However the friendly banter
that goes on more than makes up for the despicable smell.
While most of the time it is fun and games in the guys room,
this semester is definitely looking like a slow down as everyone
is job hunting and taking a full load. Turk for example, is
taking a ton of hours and actually needs to study. This is
quite foreign to him since he is a genius.
While I was out running
this week, I found it amazing that there were so many geese
out in the fields around Avila. If you've even been to Avila's
campus, you'll know that the geese are a constant fixture
around here. We are all pretty much used to them by now. I
personally have never seen so many birds together besides
at a zoo, so that was extremely cool to witness. I really
wanted to see if I could run out there and catch one, but
that urge passed after the first attempt and one almost poked
my eye out.
This coming week
I have a few interviews set up so hopefully I can a job and
start earning some much needed money. Wish me luck!
