Where
did this week go? For not having a huge class load, this week
sure flew by. This week Campus Ministry hosted our annual
Mardi Gras celebration before Ash Wednesday, with pancake
races topping the event list at the celebration. Pancake races
are particularly fun because I get to make the obstacle course
every year. Since this would be the last time, I made the
course extremely difficult and the competition was exciting
this year with the winners losing their first race only to
come back to win it all. It is a blast to see your friends
try to complete an obstacle course while balancing a pancake
on a spatula.
Yet the Mardi Gras
celebration was just the tip of the iceberg. As I am a semi
nerd, I love my computer games, and Age of the Empires
tops the list of all time best games. So what better time
can a guy like me have then to have a bunch of his friends
get together and duke it out on the battlefields? I am by
far the best among my friends and Chase, Turk, and Cody always
have to play a few games just to warm up to face me. 3 v1
is so much fun, especially when you come out the victor.
Of course 3 v 1 is not the easiest thing to do, so having
Rachel and Tia come up to distract the guys in their new pjs
was brilliant as I sent my knights to flank Chase's army in
his moment of disorientation. Haha! Take that Chase!
For the second week
in a row, we had a crisis on the Mock Trial team. One of our
attorneys pulled out leaving a vacancy just a week before
regionals. The position fell to me since I am the only one
who has the experience and can memorize the needed material
in a week's time. So while last week was fun, this coming
week will be rough as I spend most of my time learning materials
that most of the other teams have been going over for the
past few months. However, I am confident that we will prevail.
So if you do not hear
from me for a while, I have gone off the deep end never to
be heard from again.
