  Old Man Winter is back
  December 4, 2007

When it decides to get cold here it doesn't joke around!!! This week started off so nice and pretty, Bernadette, Megan, and I went to the park to hang out since we all had some free time on our hands. However by the week ends, it was terrible. The wind has been blowing and taking bites out of everyone who dares to walk outside.

Luckily I didn't have to go to too many activities that required long walks outside as we had our Mock Trial tournament this weekend, which, by the way went quite well. The first round I played the part of a court liaison and scored almost perfect. This really surprised me as I didn't think I really looked the part. Apparently, the judges really liked the character. We ended up going 2-2 which isn't bad, but I am definitely looking forwards to regionals in February. We should place fairly well if we keep up the good work. Everyone is definitely working hard to come together as a team, as we only have about five practices left when you account for winter break and all.

The rest of the week went by really fast, as I kept pretty busy taking care of papers that I have due this week, but I still managed to have some fun with my friends. On Tuesday, Cat, Katie, and I all sat around and played cards which was relaxing, even if they both kicked my butt nearly every game. I just don't understand how two girls with absolutely no strategy can get so darn lucky! On Wednesday, I went up to Max, Chase, and Turk's room to hang out which is always fun as we washed away our sorrows in a good game of Halo . Finally on Thursday with the pressure of the weekend looming on the horizon, I took Katie to see August Rush . What an awesome movie. I highly recommend it if you are looking to go to the movies.

Unfortunately, finals are just around the corner and I have a lot of work to do still. So unless I freeze to death in the grip of Mr. Winter, I will be back next week…
