This
past week was crazy, but in a good way. At Bingo night, I
called the numbers for the first time which was interesting
to say the least. The room was packed so I had to call the
numbers really loudly so that the people in the back could
hear me. This made the table in front of me rather upset since
I was calling the number too loudly. In addition, there were
tables that wanted me to call the numbers slower so that they
could look over their boards better while two tables had speed
players and wanted me to call the numbers even faster. It
was extremely fun watching the tables fight it out as I tried
to play the middle grounds and appease everyone which only
seemed to make everyone upset. In the end, they all had fun
which is all that really matters.
Also this week, my
brother put on a Halo tournament which was a huge success.
I had given him a hard time when he told me about it because
he was going to project the game outside onto a big screen.
I really didn't think that people would want to play on such
a huge screen as it is hard to watch everything that is going
on and be successful. However, he proved me wrong and it ended
up being a really good idea. He had a record number of people
turn out.
Personally I think
it was more of the hot dog roast that accompanied the tournament
that brought some of them out, but Jason just laughed and
said it was the whole package and that had I been wrong from
the beginning.
The week was topped
of by a little sumo wrestling...which I totally dominated!
I was hesitant to actually try it out since I figure most
of the other people would throw me around (I am not the biggest
guy, ya know). However, it was because of my light weight
that it made it easier to keep my balance and eventually wear
my opponents out and get them to the ground. The best part
was throwing Whitney down. She didn't even have a suit on
and it was really hard!
This next week unfortunately
is going to be rather rough since I have to buckle down and
write three term papers which I have been putting off all
semester. So until next time…
