Computer Science Management Program

The M.S. in Computer Science Management at Avila

This program is a flexible program incorporating both online courses as well as in-person coursework. This program is also part of our Hybrid programs as well.

The Master of Science in Computer Science Management is designed for students who want to bridge the gap between technology and business.

This program provides a strong foundation in computer science, while also developing business acumen, leadership skills, and project management expertise.


Graduates will be prepared to lead technology teams, drive innovation, and manage complex projects in a variety of industries. During the program, you will apply advanced knowledge of computer science principles and practices to real-world problems in industry and academia, and design innovative solutions that meet business objectives. Other course objectives include:

  • Analyze and evaluate the advantages and limitations of different computer science technologies, and select appropriate tools and techniques for specific problem domains in industry and academia.
  • Lead and manage technology teams using best practices in project management, communication, and collaboration, and develop effective strategies for achieving business goals.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts and solutions to diverse stakeholders, including executives, customers, and team members, using oral, written, and visual communication skills.
  • Evaluate and critique ethical, legal, and social issues related to computer science, and apply ethical principles and professional standards in all aspects of work as a computer science professional.
