to be more.
We do more than educate.
We do more than
We want to
to do great things.
Welcome to Avila University's Graduate Education Programs
Avila's Graduate Education Programs provide quality education from nearly a century of tradition. Students who earned a master’s degree or graduate teacher certification at Avila are now serving with distinction in local, national and global schools, agencies and communities. Join Avila’s tradition in teaching and advocacy excellence and advance your career today!
Avila’s Master of Arts in Education program is based on a 33 credit-hour curriculum that lets you choose from four concentrations:
- Teaching and Learning
- Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) (Advanced Certification: ELL)
- Literacy (Advanced Certification: Reading Specialist)
- International Advocacy and Leadership (certificate option)
Students receive personal attention from experienced faculty and advisors in a supportive, adult environment. Courses are structured in eight-week sessions, with weekend, evening, and online options, letting you schedule the classes you need to complete your degree at your own pace.
Our program is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (MoDESE).
