The 32nd Annual Steer Dinner and Auction will be held Saturday Mar. 8, 2008 at the Sheraton Overland Park Hotel.  The honorary chairs are Bill Sr. and Jean Dunn.  Jean is a 1944 graduate of Avila.  The event chairs are Bob and Terry Fisher.  There will be a live and silent auction.  The Karen Davis Project will provide the evening’s entertainment.  The theme of this exciting event is “Changing Skylines,” in honor of the many local Kansas City construction projects led by Dunn Construction.

The Steer Dinner was first held in 1977 and is one of the longest running charity galas in Kansas City. Last year’s event raised more than $353,000 to benefit student scholarships.  The steer dinner has raised over $5.5 million in scholarship money since its inception ensuring that 98% of first-year Avila students receive some form of financial assistance.
