Avila University Social Work Alum Makes International Impact

Avila University Social Work alum Heather Williams is living the Avila values that helped shape her educational experience.  Heather has founded the Hope’s Heart Foundation.

The Hope’s Heart Foundation was founded in December 2004 following a trip Williams made to Chinese orphanages a few months earlier. When Heather returned, her desire to make a lasting impact on the lives of those children manifested. That desire was to assist in the facilitation of international adoptions, while making a difference in the lives of orphans waiting to be adopted.

Now in its third year, Hope’s Heart Foundation continues to facilitate four projects making a life changing impact for many and is Heather’s contribution to the global community. The four project’s focus areas are medical, basic life, caregiving, and developmental & educational.
