Part of the University’s School of Visual and Communication Arts, the Thornhill Gallery is an on-campus teaching and exhibit space. The Thornhill Gallery has a growing reputation within the Kansas City art community, with strong attendance at shows featuring artists of local and regional interest. The gallery, however, is extremely limited due to size and location.

The new Thornhill Art Gallery will replace the Thornhill Gallery to create a modern art and teaching space.The Thornhill Art Gallery project provides a great return for amodest investment by making use of existing space adjacent to the School of Visual and Communication Arts.

The Thornhill Art Gallery will be an asset to the University and to the Kansas City community. As a versatile art space, it will continue to offer a strong annual slate of shows available to school groups and individual visitors from the metropolitan area.
