High school students attend film fest at Avila

Film StudyMake It!!!, Avila University’s High School Film Festival took place April 25 in the Dallavis Production Studio. An enthusiastic crowd of students, parents and Avila faculty attended the festival.  Avila’s Microcinema Film Club sponsored the annual event, which brought together high school filmmakers from around the Kansas City metro area. Prizes were awarded to the top two films - Revival (Kole Evans, Winnetonka High School),and Bob the Builder (Logan Tritt, Marcus Dilley, Shawnee Mission West High School). The festival opened with a workshop, 20 Easy Ways to Ruin Your GREAT Indie Film, by filmmakers Stephen Wallace Pruitt and Mary Settle Pruitt.
