Three students in an Avila Advantage marketing class recently were honored for their work.
Katrina Stansbury, Rachel Robinson and Shawn Lundquist were selected for the 2014 Quills Student Award by the Kansas City branch of the International Association of Business Communicators for their work for Universal Technologies, LLC.
According to Stansbury, the three students designed a plan geared toward marketing Universal’s security monitoring systems for both home and business. She said the company plans on implementing the marketing plan in the fall or next spring.
Stansbury, Robinson and Lundquist will be honored at the Quills Celebration on June 19 at Grand Street Café on the Country Club Plaza. In addition to the award, each will receive a $200 scholarship. Robinson also will be recognized at the celebration for her work on re-designing the DVD cover for “Veterans’ Voices: Alive and Well.”
Stansbury, from Pleasant Hill, Mo., works at Avila as lead Internet technology/instructional support and plans on graduating in August. Robinson, from Lee’s Summit, Mo., is an admissions advisor with Avila Advantage and received her degree May 10. Lundquist, from Oak Grove, Mo., also will graduate in August.
