Adults with a college degree can earn teacher certification through Avila's innovative graduate program. These graduate hours can also be applied to one of Avila's master's of arts in education degrees.
Avila's graduate education program also provides the opportunity to add advanced certificates in two areas: Special Reading and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).

Master's of arts in education degrees can be earned in three concentrations areas.
- Teaching and Learning - enhances classroom instructional strategies and assessment
- Literacy - focuses on assessing and remediating reading difficulties K-12
- Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) - provides preparation for teaching non-native speakers of English.
Avila's master's program allows teachers who have accumulated previous graduate hours to transfer up to 15 of those hours and complete a master's of arts in education degree in just one year.
