Admission The admission procedures and policies of Avila are designed to assist in the selection of those students who are most likely to benefit from and contribute to the educational opportunities offered at the University. Any person wishing to enroll in one of the following categories of students MUST BE ADMITTED TO THE UNIVERSITY  through the Office of Admission prior to initial registration: First-year Students Transfer Students International Students (Students on an F-1 Visa) Re-Admit Students Certification Students Legal Assistant Non-Degree  Students  (Students  wishing  to  enroll  for  more  than  nine  (9)  credit  hours without seeking a specific degree) Admission decisions are made on a “rolling admissions” basis. Once a student completes an application for admission and submits all required application materials, the admission staff evaluates the application for a decision. Admission notification letters are sent as soon as the decision is made. Financial aid decisions and awards are made in the Spring for the following academic year. Students are encouraged to complete their application for admission and application for schol- arships/financial aid as early as possible to maximize their opportunities for receiving financial aid awards. To  apply  for  financial  aid,  students  must  complete  a  FAFSA (Free Application  for  Federal Student Aid) financial aid form for the academic year when they plan to enroll. When apply- ing, students need to indicate Avila’s FAFSA code #002449 as the institution code for Avila University in section H of the FAFSA. Procedures Application Fee There is no application fee for applying for undergraduate admission.
