Greenfield standout signs with Avila

Loganne Grider, a senior at Greenfield High School in Greenfield, Missouri has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at Avila University.

Playing for coaches Laura Kruger and Kelly Kramer, she averaged 18 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists per game as a senior. Loganne has been named to numerous All-Tournament teams throughout her high school career and was recognized as All-Conference as a freshman (2nd Team), junior (1st Team), and senior (1st Team). A well-rounded athlete, shealso played volleyball and softball at Greenfield High.

“Loganne brings excellent versatility to our program and we are looking forward to seeingall she will be able to do at the next level. She has proven herself as a scorer in high school – averaging nearly 20 points a game. She can score off the dribble, going to the basket and even from the arc with outstanding shooting range. At 5’-9”, she has the size to defend bigger forwards, but also has the quickness to defend smaller guards without missing a beat. The many things she can do will create match-up problems for our opponents and create the opportunity for Loganne to contribute to the program in many ways. It will be different every night, but she plays with great intelligence and understands the game very well. She plays with great effort and commitment and really lets her love for the game show when she is on the floor. She is a tremendous young lady, one we are very happy about having chosen Avila University.

We are proud to welcome her to the AU Women’s Basketball family.”

Loganne is the daughter of Pamela and Greg Grider of Greenfield, Missouri. During her
high school career, she has been a member of Student Council, FBLA, and the National Honor Society while maintaining a 3.8 GPA. Loganne is undecided on what she will major in at Avila.

Avila University competes on the NAIA, Division II level within the prestigious Heart of
America Athletic Conference. Avila is a private, co-educational, values-based liberal arts institution founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet in 1917 and is located at 119th and Wornall Road in southwest suburban Kansas City, Missouri.
