Jason
Means enters his 7th year as the head athletic trainer for
Avila University. Means, a three-sport athlete at Creston
High School (IA) and baseball standout at Southwestern Community
College (IA) received his bachelor’s degree in athletic
training in 1997 from Park University (MO).
Following graduation, Means moved on to Phoenix, AZ, where he completed his
masters’ degree in Sports Health Care at the Arizona School of Health Sciences.
While in Arizona, Jason served as the athletic trainer at Phoenix’s Central High
School and spent the spring of 2000 as an intern for the San Francisco Giants Baseball
Club during spring training.
Means then returned to the Kansas City area serving as an athletic trainer for Professional
Rehab Service during the 2000-2001 school year working as the primary trainer for Paola High
School.
Jason currently resides in Independence, MO with his wife Jennifer. |
