Tina (Caldwell) Holland is one of the most decorated female athletes in the history of Avila College- she earned NAIA District 16 All-District recognition in two sports during her time at Avila.

A case could be made that Tina was one of the top volleyball players ever to put on a uniform at Avila. Her sophomore year (1988) she was named to the All-District 2nd team, and then was named to that unit’s 1st team after each of her final two seasons. In addition to prowess on the volleyball court, Tina was also an outstanding basketball player, earning 2nd team All-District honors in that sport as a freshman. A member of Sigma Theta Tau (a professional nursing society) while at Avila, Tina graduated with a 3.4 GPA.
