Joyce is a 1994 graduate and was a member of the women’s basketball and softball teams.  While at Avila, Joyce was a two-time letter winner in softball and a four-time letter winner in basketball.  Joyce was also a member of the Dean’s list.  In 1993 and 1994 Joyce was named to the NAIA Academic All-American team in basketball and was also named Honorable Mention All District in basketball in 1994.  Joyce graduated as the women’s basketball second all time leading scorer.  After graduating, Joyce was named assistant coach for the women’s program and served in this capacity for three season’s through the 1996-97 campaign.
