Ginger Coldsnow was one of the brightest stars in the early history of women’s athletics at Avila College. A 6’0” center with outstanding rebounding skills, Ginger was a four-time NAIA All-District 16 selection during her playing days for the Avalanche.
A native of Lee’s Summit, Mo., she was the 8th leading rebounder in the nation as a freshmen. Ginger was a team captain her senior year, and also played soccer for Avila’s first women’s soccer team, giving her team one of the area’s most athletic goalkeepers.
In a playing career that spanned from 1982 to 1986, Ginger Coldsnow was a pioneer, and an outstanding student (graduating summa cum laude in Mathematics) and leader, and one of the top female athletes in the history of Avila College. |
